Well presented cottage in historic picturesque grounds. Keyless entry was smooth and the QR code guidelines were comprehensive and up to date. It was great not to have to thumb through a plastic folder full of dog-eared bits of information.

Well presented cottage in historic picturesque grounds. Keyless entry was smooth and the QR code guidelines were comprehensive and up to date. It was great not to have to thumb through a plastic folder full of dog-eared bits of information.
All necessary appliances for a three night stay were available. Lovely woodland walks round the moat of the main house.
A great country environment close to many villages, pubs (recommend the Dog and Shepherd), wineries (Bolney Wine Estate) and natural wonders such as Devils Dyke.
Well positioned between the South Coast and Horsham

Only minor, but when using a rental car I am always concerned about scratching the sides. Driveway hedgerows could have done with a trim.
And sorry not to meet Andrew or one of the team. We exchanged messages and were advised they would be pleased to meet us, but it didn't happen.

We had such a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage! The hosts had thought of everything to make us feel welcome—there was fresh bread, milk, homemade jam, and even local honey waiting for us. Such a thoughtful touch!
The cottage itself is very well-appointed. The kitchen was great to cook in, with plenty of pans, utensils, and everything we needed to prepare meals easily. The beds were super comfy.
One of the highlights was the garden—it’s surrounded by trees and long grass, and felt quite secluded. We loved sitting out there in the mornings having breakfast, and the kids loved running around and playing football.
The location is perfect if you enjoy walking. It’s so close to the South Downs, and we found some beautiful trails to explore nearby.

Excellent. Did exactly what we needed.

Excellent stay at this remote cottage! Very peaceful, with an enclosed garden - albeit shared but that’s not a problem - enough space for everyone and two separate patios to dine at if you wish.
Enough parking space available.

Excellent stay at this remote cottage! Very peaceful, with an enclosed garden - albeit shared but that’s not a problem - enough space for everyone and two separate patios to dine at if you wish.

Spotlessly clean property with everything thee you needed. A lovely little welcome pack including butter, bread, milk, homemade jam and honey, some Sussex biscuits! Excellent for when you arrive late and your tesco delivery hasn’t arrived.
A few lovely woodland walks around the estate too, which we explored daily! Wish we’d have had a chance to go around Newtimber place but we didn’t get around to it.

Beautiful cottage, very comfortable especially the beds. The kitchen very well equipped with everything you could need to cook a meal. A welcome pack of bread, milk, butter. jam and honey were very much appreciated along with the box containing tea, coffee , hot chocolate and sugar. The showers were powerful with instant hot water. My husband is disabled and the cottage proved to be very suitable to his needs. The one thing that would have helped would be a grab rail in the shower. Would definitely stay here again.
