Are the cottages suitable for contractors?

Yes, we welcome contractors and are VAT registered. There is on-site parking for a van.

How many car parking spaces are there?

Each cottage has at least 2 car parking spaces on-site. Orchard Cottage has at least 3.

Can I charge my EV?

Yes we have EV charging. The current price is 50p per unit inclusive of VAT.

Can I get groceries delivered?

Yes you can order groceries from the major supermarkets and have them delivered. You would need to have checked in and be around to receive them.

What is supplied?

Linen, towels, shampoo, soap, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and cleaning materials are all supplied. We also supply tea, coffee, sugar sachets, bread, butter and a pint of semi-skimmed milk so you can relax when you arrive. 

What time can I arrive?

You can arrive anytime after 4pm. Earlier checkin may be possible by prior arrangement, depending on cleaning requirements. 

Is there a phone or wifi?

There is fast full fibre broadband at the cottages. There is no landline, but there is good mobile reception.

Is there a pub nearby?

If you are fit, you can walk to the pub but most people drive. The nearest pubs are about 1.5 miles away.

Are there good walks nearby

Yes, there a lots of walks on the South Downs. If you are fit and a keen walker, you can walk and have breakfast at Wayfield Farm or walk to Saddlescombe and have lunch at the Wildflower cafe - vegan and vegetarian food in the open air. You can also take a short stroll through the woods near the cottages and see the snowdrops in winter and the bluebells in spring

Are there cottages suitable for children?

Yes we welcome children of all ages. Travel cots can be provided on request. There is open water nearby so children would need to be supervised. 

Can I get a taxi to the cottages?

Yes, you can book a taxi or an Uber to the cottages. If you are attending a wedding nearby, the venue you are visiting may have a special arrangement with a local firm so it would be good to check with them first.

Where is the nearest supermarket?

There are supermarkets in Hassocks, Burgess Hill and Brighton and Hove. There is an M&S local at Pyecombe.

Is there a farm shop nearby?

Yes, Rushfields has a farm shop just over a mile away. They have fruit and vegetables, pasties, cheeses, meats, beers and wine and also serve breakfasts and lunches.
