We found orchard cottage to be really spacious, great for adults and kids. Really well equipped and thoughtful touches.4 very happy days.

what an fantastic property! we were lucky enough to stay at orchard cottage for a family get together after having not seen each other for 3 years due to the pandemic and we can't say enough good things about it. the property was spotlessly clean, well maintained, with an amazingly well equipped kitchen and all rooms are furnished to a high standard. the beds in particular were incredibly comfortable. the outside space is amazing, perfect for long summer days with lots of grass to run or loll around on. the surrounding countryside is also stunning, we can really recommend the walk up at the jack and jill windmills.
couple of minor things to note, not issues but things to be aware of: although the location is in a country setting there is a surprising amount of noise from the a23. although we all got used to it over our 6 day stay, the constant traffic hum in the background (which also doesn't really stop over night) is a consideration if you are looking for perfect peace and quiet. the garden is beautiful but very exposed during the summer with sun pretty much all day - we were very spoiled with perfect weather and luckily one of our group had a camping gazebo to provide additional shade to the supplied outside table and umbrella but we would have had to retreat inside without it (typical englishman moaning about it it being too sunny!). the fridge is a very small under counter model, which while perfectly serviceable wasn't really big enough (we supplemented it with a cool box and ice). as mentioned, the above aren't problems and wouldn't have put us off our stay, but they are maybe useful to know for other holiday makers.
we can't recommend the property more, and we're really looking forward to booking another stay soon. thank you to andrew for making such an amazing place available and our stay so perfect.

Beautifully finished and furnished stable conversion.
Back garden is shared but eating areas have vegetal screens for privacy.
Lovely grounds and good location for exploring the area.

Very nice cottage. Clean, comfortable, peaceful and lovely little goodies on arrival. We'd had a long journey and the tea, milk, bread, butter and jam was all very welcoming! Relaxing and peaceful location with close proximity to many activities and places of interest – highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our visit and stay in Newtimber. Easy access to the south coast but also to London with the train from Hassocks. A beautiful and peaceful place to stay with some wonderful walks literally out of the front door. Devils Dyke is recommended. Beautifully clean cottage with all amenit…

Lovely peaceful location but not far from access roads to the south coast if needed. the cottage is lovely everything you need and super to have en-suites in both bedrooms
